Cool! What changes have you made to GEM since its first version? |

the project is quiet possible bugosaurus, but its in a much better state now, then the blind port i did to just get it running within elks. that was a terrible goal! |

Think I'm doing something wrong. Can start desktop but it won't respond to mouse or keypresses (e.g tab). Can't launch applications or interact with desktop. Environment is Qemu on m1 MacBook Air. Screen.Recording.2026-10-24.at.10.54.13.AM.mov |

More specifically: I can see the folders on the desktop so I do get past the intro screen in the video. I can move the cursor with the up/down/left/right arrow keys but can't select anything. I don't use a mouse; is one needed? Environment is qemu on m1 MacBook Air using keyboard/trackpad Update: I found a USB mouse but it's not working on the gem desktop. I assume no usb drivers? Update 2 : fn + left/right arrow kind of work for selection. Very cool project but kind of painful on m1 Mac |

I learnt about various systems elks kernel has, and how to utilise them correctly.
