sio-vm installinstall reads the signed dependency list, installs the course
tools, Docker and Containerlab, enables SSH password login for VM accounts, and
adds your login to the Docker and Wireshark groups. At the end, it checks
Ubuntu's reboot-required marker and recommends a reboot only when Ubuntu has
requested one. Otherwise, sign out and back in if your current session does not
yet have the new group memberships. install can be run again when the
dependency list changes.
To update only the sio-vm command, run:
sio-vm upgradesio-vm status shows the installed versions and dependency hash. These
commands may request sudo inside the guest. The tool does not set a password
or perform a general OS upgrade. The release is a course setup prototype;
validation limits and release instructions are recorded
separately.
