🎓 I'm a current PhD student under the Health of the Public theme of the UCL Birkbeck MRC Doctoral Training Partnership. My PhD is based at the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science, within the Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing.
🔬 My research focuses on using the target trial emulation framework to estimate causal treatment effects for cardiometabolic diseases and related chronic conditions, using data from longitudinal cohort studies and electronic health records, while also extending insights derived from these findings through conducting health economic evaluations.
🏥 As part of my PhD, I have worked with NHS England and West and North London ICB, supporting evaluations of healthcare service and policy changes using causal inference methods, while also developing practical guidance for applying these approaches in real-world NHS settings.
🎗️ Alongside my PhD, I work as a Sarcoma Cancer Data Analyst with the NHS England National Disease Registration Service and UCL Cancer Institute, using national cancer registry data to investigate variation in diagnostic pathways, access to specialist care, and patient-reported quality of life for sarcoma patients across England.
👨🏫 I also teach quantitative research methods, epidemiology, and health data science across undergraduate and postgraduate modules at UCL.
