Hi, I'm Mikel — a senior full-stack engineer and hands-on technical lead from San Sebastián / Donostia.
LinkedIn has the career. This GitHub has the curiosity.
I use code to turn ideas into products: tools for learning languages, new ways to look at online conversations, tiny utilities, community experiments, and the occasional project that stays alive much longer than expected.
The name ojoven? In Spanish, “ojo, ven” is a small call for inspiration — literally, eye, come 👀
- 📬 cursorbyemail — continue a Cursor agent conversation from your inbox.
- 🩸 Odiómetro — a once-live visualization of hostile conversation on Twitter, now preserved as an interactive archive with fictional data. See it live
- 📣 Gzaas! — full-screen, eye-candy messages. Built 15 years ago; somehow still online.
- 🎼 Highlight the Music — a Google Docs add-on that colors sentences by length so you can see the rhythm of your writing.
- 🗣️ Linguaso — learn languages through subtitled videos and comprehensible input.
- 🌱 Etengabe — a place for people who want to keep learning and living in Basque.
- 🐟 The Mêlée — the website for a community conversation about AI, ideas, and technology in Donostia. See it live
I'm happiest moving from “what if…?” to a working URL: shaping the product and UX, writing the code, and looking after what happens in production.
Most days that means some combination of React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, Python, PHP/Laravel, SQL, and AWS. AI coding agents are now part of my workflow for research, exploration, implementation, testing, debugging, and review — with human judgment owning the important decisions.
Some repositories here are current projects. Others are sketches, experiments, or honest archaeological layers of the web. I keep them around because old code can still tell a good story.
The more professional version of me lives on LinkedIn. You can also find me on X.
If one of these ideas sparks another one, say hello.
