AgentDeck icon — aquarium dome with octopus and crayfish on a Stream Deck control surface

AgentDeck

App Store — Mac, iPhone, and iPad Google Play — Android Elgato Marketplace Ulanzi Marketplace MIT License npm version CI Website

Your AI agents, at a glance. Across your desk.

AgentDeck brings your AI agents into one local dashboard. See which are working, waiting for you, or finished—across projects and tools. Watch them in a living aquarium, follow the timeline, and keep usage limits in view. Use your Mac or terminal on its own, or add a tablet, Stream Deck, e-ink reader, or small desk display.

Mobile apps and hardware connect to a daemon on your computer. Controls are available when the session exposes a supported control path; other surfaces show status. See the hardware compatibility matrix for model-specific capabilities, including D200X encoder limitations.

A dashboard that feels alive

On your Mac, no extra hardware required. Watch the native app in action below.

Native 3D aquarium in motion — agent creatures and schooling fish; click to watch the full video

Choose the familiar dashboard or the native 3D aquarium on Mac, iPhone/iPad, and Android LCD devices. Each session becomes a creature; its activity changes its movement, and nearby fish react. On mobile, tap empty water to hide the panels and move closer. Tap again to return. Existing preferences are preserved.

The demo follows a fictional coding task in the real native app: agents join, edit code, run tests, wait for permission, and finish. No private workspace data is shown. Watch the high-resolution story or take the hardware desk tour.

New in the 1.8.0 showcase: Hermes Agent joins the other agents while GitHub CI companions orbit sessions waiting for checks. Captured in the native iPad simulator with fictional activity; the earlier introduction and hardware photos remain available.

Watch the new scenario · CI waiting · Checks complete

What it does

  • Follow parallel work. Session names, current tools, and a shared timeline explain what each agent is doing. Collaboration shows reported subagents, task relationships, and recent task history.
  • Notice when you are needed. Permission and input requests stand out. Answer or interrupt from supported surfaces when the session provides a real control path; otherwise prompts are display-only.
  • Keep usage visible. Claude, Codex, and z.ai/GLM gauges appear where the connected provider supplies usage data. Agent identity and model provider remain separate.
  • Choose your display. The 3D scene keeps up to eight foreground residents readable while the roster retains every session. E-ink uses a static rendered backdrop and restrained motion; compact panels keep their focused layouts.

No extra hardware required. Choose a native dashboard or the terminal path.

Mac, iPhone, and iPad

Install from the App Store. The Mac app includes its own daemon and needs no Node.js. Enable your agent integrations in Settings, then run your agents normally. iPhone/iPad pair with an AgentDeck daemon on your network.

Requires macOS 26+ or iOS/iPadOS 17+. See the Apple guide.

Terminal, Windows, Linux, and external integrations

Requires Node.js 22, 24, or 26 and a supported agent on macOS 15+, Windows 11, or Linux.

npx @agentdeck/setup
agentdeck daemon install # refresh hooks and start observation
claude # or: codex · opencode · kiro-cli

In another terminal:

agentdeck dashboard # live sessions, aquarium, usage, and timeline

The Mac app can also attach to the CLI daemon for additional integrations, including Claude subscription gauges and ADB device support. Compare capabilities. For setup problems, run agentdeck diag agents or see installation and troubleshooting.

Existing managed sessions and remote attach

agentdeck claude, agentdeck codex, agentdeck opencode, and agentdeck monitor are a long-term compatibility path; no removal is planned. Ordinary local sessions should use the daemon with normal agent commands. Daemon-first equivalents exist for launch arguments (agentdeck run), deck ordering (agentdeck order) and remote sessions (agentdeck relay, experimental). Immediate terminal steering stays managed-only. See the CLI reference, remote attach guide, and decision record.

Agents

AgentDeck is growing beyond coding workflows: Hermes Agent is supported as an opt-in preview (see the table). The table below lists current integrations and how each is observed.

Agent Observation
Claude Code Lifecycle hooks; primary supported integration
Codex CLI Lifecycle hooks and rollout logs
Codex Desktop Observed on macOS; Windows verification pending
OpenCode Observer plugin and native events
Kiro CLI / IDE Transcript observation; delayed, idle-only activity
Antigravity Passive observation through the CLI daemon
OpenClaw Experimental Gateway integration
Hermes Agent Preview: opt-in observer plugin (agentdeck hermes-observer, then hermes plugins enable agentdeck-observer); read-only

Run agents normally; AgentDeck reads their native events rather than scraping terminal screens. Kiro has no managed launcher, and the sandboxed Mac app needs a one-time folder grant for its transcripts. Detailed setup and limitations: configuration, Apple guide, and Gateway guide.

Releases

Compatibility and delivery channels

Use the channel for your device. Components with the same major version work together: a 1.0 device can connect to a 1.5 daemon. Minor and patch versions use the same meaning across stores: minor versions identify a shared feature milestone, while target-specific patches fix or complete existing behavior. Targets can ship at different times; you do not need to update every device together. See the version decision policy. Release tags identify source versions; check the delivery records for verified publication and Store review status.

Delivery, 2026-10-29: npm 1.9.6 is public. A late update to a timeline row (summary, evaluation score, approval result) now survives a restart. macOS 1.9.4 / 10001 is in review. It replaces the withdrawn 1.9.3 submission and carries its changes. Public macOS remains 1.9.2. Android 1.10.2 (29) is live on Google Play. Stream Deck 1.8.2 and Ulanzi 1.8.2 are still in marketplace review. See the delivery checkpoint.

npm and deck plugins, 2026-10-28: npm 1.9.5 is public for all four packages. Long-running background work now goes on standby instead of holding a session at "working". Stream Deck 1.8.2 is pending Elgato review, and Ulanzi 1.8.2 is in Ulanzi's review queue. Both marketplaces still serve 1.8.1. See the delivery checkpoint.

Android delivery, checked 2026-10-26 (superseded: live on Google Play on October 29): the signed 1.10.2 (29) APK is public on GitHub. Google Play 1.10.2 (29) is in review for a 100% rollout across the existing 178 countries after approval; its current public version remains 1.10.1 (28). The public APK passed a data-preserving Pantone upgrade and live dashboard check. See the delivery receipt.

Previous npm delivery, 2026-10-27: 1.9.4 was public for all four packages. Their downloaded payloads match the accepted source, include the root LICENSE and pass an isolated installation with native dependencies. The Codex terminal-error correction is retained. See the delivery checkpoint. The October 28 entry above supersedes it.

Apple checkpoint, 2026-10-27 (superseded: withdrawn October 29 for 1.9.4): macOS 1.9.3 / 9801 passed final artifact and three-mode runtime acceptance, replaced the previous 9501 submission and was in review at the October 28 readback, with automatic release after approval. The verified public macOS version remains 1.9.2 / 9401; this is submission, not public availability. See the delivery checkpoint and its measured recovery limits. Dot remains excluded from standard Store builds.

Apple delivery, 2026-10-24: macOS 1.9.2 / 9401 is public in the Mac App Store, with Dashboard and Settings responsiveness corrections. Apple reports READY_FOR_SALE and the review submission is complete; the public listing's release time is 07:07:56 KST on October 24, independently confirmed at 09:26 KST. iOS/iPadOS remains 1.9.1. On October 25 the actual Store build passed 15 Swift live assertions; the operator confirmed Settings/3D restoration, Stream Deck+/D200H buttons and sleep/wake recovery. See the scoped results in the public release receipt.

Historical delivery, 2026-10-14: npm 1.9.2 was public, with clearer creature-led iDotMatrix status and counts verified on hardware. macOS 1.9.1 / 8601 passed the Store artifact checks and was submitted with automatic release after approval; iOS 1.9.1 / 8501 was also awaiting review. Apple 1.9.0 was the verified public Store version at that readback; the October 24 status above supersedes it. Stream Deck and Ulanzi 1.8.1 were public on GitHub and awaiting marketplace review; ESP32 1.9.2 was public. See the release delivery record.

Previous delivery, 2026-10-12: Android 1.9.0 (26) is public on Google Play (100% rollout across 178 countries/regions) and as a signed GitHub APK. Its three-step setup covers appearance, computer connection and readiness on LCD and e-ink, while preserving existing settings and paired hosts on upgrade. All four npm packages and their latest tags are public at 1.9.0. ESP32 1.9.0 firmware is public for twelve boards; all 60 binaries match the release manifest.

At that October 12 readback, Apple 1.9.0 / 7901 was Waiting for Review; the October 23 Apple check above supersedes that status. Elgato 1.8 is public (Marketplace read October 11). Ulanzi 1.8.0 remains submitted, with 1.6.0 the last verified public version. Neither deck plugin was republished in this round. The October 28 entry above supersedes both deck-plugin statuses. See the additional-channel delivery readback for verification and remaining hardware limitations.

Mobile apps and hardware are companion surfaces: keep a daemon running on your computer. Supported ESP32 boards offer Wi-Fi OTA after the first USB flash; GitHub Android APKs offer wireless updates from Settings. Pixoo, TC001, Timebox, and iDotMatrix setup is covered in the device guide.
