Getting started

1. Sign up at offlineshelf.ahmershah.dev/app (or on your own install) with an email and a password of 12 characters or more.
2. Create a list. Give it a name, keep en.wikipedia.org or type another wiki (for example ur.wikipedia.org), and choose a builder. Tick Rebuild every month if it should stay current.
3. Build it. Press Build. The status goes queued, building, then ready (or failed, with a reason). Most builds take seconds; deep category trees take longer.
4. Check the result. Open Details: the build history with what changed since the last version, a short report of what could not be found, and every article with a link to the wiki.
5. Export it. Download a TSV, or make an HTML bundle or a ZIM file. See Exports and Kiwix.

Tips

• Start small. A category at depth 1 or 2 is usually enough; look at the result before going deeper.
• Fix a list by combining instead of tweaking: "Vaccines minus Companies" is two simple lists and a difference. See Combinations.
• A failed build never replaces the last good version, so exports and combinations keep working.
