The content-sized floating inspector left a large gap beneath it and competed with the conversation sheet. Files, changes and tasks now occupy a full-height lane inside the same sheet, separated by a hairline. Opening, closing and resizing the inspector reflows the existing reader and composer together, including a 700 pt window.
Sidebar width remains adjustable and persisted. Navigation is more compact and secondary; the workspace shadow is lighter, composer corners and control groups are more consistent, and single-line code cards keep copying and horizontal scrolling without a separate language header. Native and SwiftUI code renderers share the compact treatment. The left-aligned window title stays text-only, with a lighter medium weight and a 360 pt width cap; truncation keeps the full title and session context available on hover.
Validation: nine portable checks; macOS release build and signature; WorkbenchChecks and ConnectionChecks; native-design, reading-design, reading-canvas, task-context and sidebar-scroll phases; assistant-row parity and complete-code copying in light/dark at wide/narrow widths. Computer use also checked the isolated production-workspace preview in both appearances. The final commit passed a repeated release build and native-design check.
The installed app has not been replaced. Validation uses isolated fixtures; live SSH/session performance remains a separate acceptance step.
